Nigeria’s Leading Voice on Employment and Labour Law

To be the go-to resource for employment and labour-related insight in Nigeria, offering legal thought leadership, expert guidance, and collaborative solutions to help stakeholders navigate an ever-changing world of work.

What We Do

Our People

Founded in 2015, the Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria (ELLAN) is the premier professional body for lawyers, academics, and practitioners working in the field of employment and labour law across Nigeria. Conceived to bridge the gap between the evolving world of work and legal advocacy, ELLAN has grown into a thriving network of professionals committed to promoting fairness, expertise, and innovation in the employment law space.

Since its incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2019 as a non-governmental organization, ELLAN has provided a vibrant platform for legal minds to engage, contribute, and lead on issues that matter, from workplace rights and industrial harmony to policy reform and regulatory compliance. Our community includes legal experts, HR professionals, in-house counsel, union representatives, public sector stakeholders, and civil society actors who share a common goal: the promotion of decent work and justice in the workplace.
