Our Structure
Events Committee
The Events Committee is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing all ELLAN events, from our flagship ELLAN Labour Law Conference to training workshops, webinars, and networking sessions. This team curates engaging programs, identifies relevant themes, and ensures our events connect stakeholders across the legal profession, corporate sector, and public institutions. Beyond logistics, the committee works to create platforms where policy ideas are exchanged, professional relationships are built, and thought leadership is showcased.
Public Interest Advocacy Committee
At the heart of ELLAN’s social impact work, the Public Interest Advocacy Committee drives initiatives aimed at improving workplace justice, fairness, and compliance across Nigeria. This includes engaging with lawmakers, regulators, and the judiciary on employment-related reforms, monitoring and responding to emerging labour rights issues, and amplifying the voices of vulnerable groups in the workforce. Through position papers, campaigns, and legal interventions, this committee ensures ELLAN remains a trusted advocate for balanced and forward-thinking employment policies.
Publication Committee
The Publication Committee manages ELLAN’s knowledge output and is responsible for creating, reviewing, and disseminating high-quality legal resources. This includes producing the ELLAN Employment and Labour Law Journal, policy briefs, case commentaries, practice guides, and digital articles that inform and educate our members and the public. The committee also works closely with industry experts to document evolving labour law trends, analyse landmark cases, and provide actionable insights for practitioners, employers, and employees alike.
