The Faces of ELLAN
Jamiu is currently a Legal Counsel within the Global Litigation team of the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC). Before joining SPDC, he was a dispute resolution Counsel in Adepetun Caxton-Martins Agbor & Segun, a top-tier commercial law firm where he was part of the employment litigation team.
In his years of practice, Jamiu has advised extensively on employee wrongful termination claims, redundancies, executive compensation, compensation for workplace injuries, and has also represented high net worth clients in State and Federal Courts. During his stint as an advocate, he tried several employment-related cases at the National Industrial Court, including some precedent-setting outsourcing/triangular employment matters.
Jamiu is a prolific writer and has written articles on various areas of employment law. His book, The Employment Law Handbook, remains
one of the leading resources for lawyers and human resource professionals on contemporary employment law issues. Apart from being a founding member and trustee of the Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria, “ELLAN”, he is also a member of the NBA Employment and Industrial Relations Sub-committee and the International Bar Association. Jamiu gives back to society as a member of Rotary International and regularly volunteers for civil duties.
With over 15 years of experience, she has advised foreign and local companies on industrial relations, pension reforms, and employer-employee relationship matters. Her extensive practice includes arbitration, aviation claims, debt recovery, real estate, and enforcement of local and foreign judgments. Omono is also a published author and panelist on employment law and arbitration topics, contributing to legal publications and conferences.
She holds an LL.M from the University of Lagos and is a member of several professional organisations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), and the Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria.
He routinely appears before high courts, industrial courts, appellate courts, and arbitral tribunals, handling disputes related to corporate and commercial law, labour and employment, banking and finance, energy and oil and gas, environmental and climate change issues, electoral and constitutional matters, as well as privacy and digital rights.
Beyond litigation, Festus advises corporate clients in high-stakes investigations led by government agencies and regulators. His work in this space covers internal and external financial fraud, alleged violations of anti-money laundering and antitrust laws, allegations of corruption, tax evasion, and other breaches of federal and state regulations.
He is an active member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the NBA Section on Business Law, the Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria, the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre Young Arbitrators Forum, the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (Young ICCA), and the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL).
His commitment to excellence and impact in the legal profession has earned him numerous recognitions, including a nomination as one of the Most Outstanding Young Persons in Legal Practice by the Lagos Youths Award in 2022, a finalist in the Under 30 CEOs Awards (Lawyers Category) by CEO Network Africa in 2023, and inclusion in the Top 100 Nigerian Legal Personalities 2023 by the Legal Eagles Initiative.
He is widely regarded as a seasoned legal practitioner with particular expertise in the incorporation and establishment of foreign entities, company law and governance, expatriate logistics, labour and immigration compliance, as well as commercial transactions. Idowu has led and participated in several high-level due diligence exercises spanning industries such as oil and gas, telecommunications, and maritime port concessions.
He obtained his LL.B (Hons) degree from Lagos State University, Ojo, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1995. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and has been recognized as a Recommended Lawyer in Corporate and M&A by The Legal 500 (2015).

He holds an LL.B from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and an LL.M in Oil & Gas and Environmental Law from the University of Benin, Benin City. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in May 2008 and has since distinguished himself through his deep expertise and commitment to legal excellence.
Echeho has held several leadership and professional roles, including serving as the National Publicity Secretary of the NBA Section on Public Interest and Development Law (SPIDEL), and as a branch official of the Nigerian Bar Association, Warri Branch. He is an active member of the NBA Section on Business Law (SBL) and one of the Administrators of the Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria (ELLAN). His affiliations extend to the African Young Arbitrators, and he holds fellowships with both the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Certified Institute of Auctioneers of Nigeria.
He is also a facilitator, official, and fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators in Delta State, and an associate member of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria. Throughout her career, Ogunmola has demonstrated exceptional skill in corporate governance, legal advisory, risk management, compliance, and strategic business development. She provides comprehensive counsel to senior executives, family offices, and boards on matters ranging from corporate governance and compliance to private equity transactions and dispute resolution.
Currently serving as the Executive Director of Corporate, Legal, and Regulatory Services at DPL Construction Limited, Ogunmola oversees all legal and compliance functions, playing an instrumental role in private equity investments, restructuring, expansion, and debt management. Additionally, she is a director on the boards of Safi Renewable Energy Limited, DPL Construction Limited, and several other organizations. Her strategic leadership has helped drive organizational growth, safeguard legal interests, and ensure long-term sustainability.

Known for her proactive approach to legal compliance and her knack for crafting innovative solutions, Precious is especially passionate about helping businesses navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes. She has a growing interest in Nigeria’s capital market, taxation, and investment banking sectors, where she continues to expand her expertise.
Beyond traditional legal practice, Precious is a public speaker, counsellor, and facilitator. She is the founder of Your Corporate Paddy, a platform dedicated to guiding startups and small to medium-sized enterprises through legal and business challenges with practical, easy-to-understand advice.
Precious holds an LL.B from the University of Uyo and was called to the Nigerian Bar after completing her legal training at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. Outside her legal work, she enjoys reading and creating content that blends faith, investment, and lifestyle perspectives.
A product of the Labour Law Clubs initiative, Oluwatomi spearheaded the establishment of Labour Law Clubs in different universities across Nigeria, strengthening student engagement and leadership in the field. From August 2024 to July 2025, he served as President of the Labour Law Club, University of Ilorin, where he coordinated club presidents from other institutions, organized bi-weekly intellectual forums, and hosted webinars and social media series that deepened understanding of labour and employment law among undergraduates.
Earlier, as Public Relations Officer and Head of the Research Team from August 2023 to August 2024, he was part of the inaugural executive team responsible for the club’s foundation, membership drive, and the design of its core academic and engagement activities.
