Mr. Festus Ogun is the Managing Partner and head of the Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution team of FO LEGAL. He is a seasoned dispute resolution expert, with years of experience handling commercial litigation for a wide spectrum of domestic and international clients across several sectors of the Nigerian economy.
He routinely advises and represents clients in disputes before high courts, industrial courts, appellate courts and arbitral tribunals relating to corporate and commercial, labour and employment, banking and finance, energy and oil and gas, environment and climate change, electoral and constitutional, privacy and digital
rights matters.
Festus also acts for corporate
clients in high stakes investigations by government agencies and regulators in
connection with matters pertaining to internal and external financial fraud, allegations of corruption and violation of anti-money laundering laws, alleged violations of competition/antitrust laws, alleged tax evasion and other alleged violations of federal and
state laws.
He is a member of:
Nigeria Bar Association, International Bar Association, NBA Section on Business Law, Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, Singapore International Arbitration Centre Young Arbitrators Forum, International Council for Commercial Arbitration Young ICCA and the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL).
As a recognition for his works, he was nominated as one of the Most Outstanding Young Person in Legal Practice by the Lagos Youths Award, 2022, Under 30 CEOs awards under the Lawyers Category by CEO Network Africa in 2023 and was named one of the Top 100 Nigerian Legal Personalities 2023 by the Legal Eagles Initiative.
